Other years, Amazon has extended the 30 day return period to run through the end of Dec., at least, but this year I haven't seen anything about an extension like that. I want to buy my daughter a Kindle Fire, but don't want the 30 day return period to be expired before she's had a chance to use it for a week or two after Christmas. Anybody know what I'm talking about, or has anybody heard anything about this happening this year?
=========== Items shipped by Amazon.com between November 1, 2012 and December 31, 2012, may be returned until January 31, 2013, for a full refund, subject to our other return guidelines listed in our Product Return Policies Help pages. ===========
There have already been a couple threads about this here, too.
Yes, I have done that, but those were for fun threads, not serious threads. That's called trolling. If this was a serious thread, then the OP has failed. If this was a trolling thread, they still failed, because it isn't funny and didn't provide much entertainment.
Warren provided a helpful answer to the intent of the OP. Therefore, Warren deserves his Yes votes. The thread is still failing though. If people came into here looking to find out if actual warranties are being extended, they would not find an answer to that question.
If this thread had a title about return policies, I wouldn't have came in here. It was about warranties. So I was curious. The OP fails.
So I failed all the way around - but at least thanks to Warren I got the information I needed.
And yes - it was about return policy and not warranties. I've had problems with word finding ever since a monster of a case of encephalitis a decade ago. Let's see some of you snotty folks run a fever of 104 F for more than a month and still have enough brain cells left to string any kind of coherent sentence together . . .
Thanks again, Warren, for figuring out what I meant as opposed to what I actually said, and providing the "right" answer.
