The problem with making a "list" of free kindle books is that the prices on books change all the time....Just because it's free today(or right now) doesn't mean that it will be tomorrow or even 5 min. from now.....

Les Miserables [with Biographical Introduction]
Oops - the wrong version posted, but if you look at the section that lists All Formats for this book, you will find a free one. With the movie coming out, interest in the book may be strong - but it is five volumes long1

You will find many classics among the free Kindle books.

I have over 1700 books on my kindle and I have only paid for about 5 or 6 of them....
There are alot of free books that are very much worth reading....My kindle has made it much easier for me to read every day instead of just once in a while....
The places that I go to look for free books are .....dailyfreebooks.com
and here on amazon.....in the kindle fourm there are several threads that list free books as well as the kindle page that will list the top 100 free books and is updated every hour...
