I,m trying to find out if the book coming out June 2010 called "The Lion" will be a John Corey book?

Yes, it is. He and Kate Mayfield will be the main characters.

Any chance of a movie of "The Lion" and/or "Lion's Game?" Alec Baldwin would make a great John Corey and possibly Sacha Baron Cohen as the Lion.

The Gold Coast is the first of the two novels and I believe the best. I enjoy all of DeMille's books!

If you're hooked, then you MUST read "The Charm School". In my humble opinion, it's a classic.

Charm School is a classic. It was wonderful. BUT - the Gold Coast and the Gate House are the best ever. Then again, all the books with John Corey and Kate Mansfield can't be beat. I guess you could say I Love Them All!

Me, too, I enjoy all DeMille books, but "Plum Island" and "Spencerville" are on top of the list for me.

nightfall is my favorite of all his novels. all are very easy to get addicted to, and i have read all of them more than once. i don't think he will write a better one than nightfall, unless he writes a sequek to it, and even that might not work.

Is there going to be another John Corey book soon to be released? And why has not Hollywood done any of Nelson's John Corey books into film?

Hello James,

Some 8 to 10 years ago I did read that the movie rights for "Plum Island" have been sold, but according to DeMilles website they are still available:

Way back then I was always imagining Bruce Willis playing John Corey...

"The Lion" was the 5th Corey book so far and I couldn't find any news regarding another upcoming Corey novel:

Hi Jeanne,

I like "Nightfall" very much and hope it will be filmed at some point, but "Plum Island" and "Spencerville" are definitely my favorite DeMille books.

When will The Panther be released?

"Panther"...first I have heard. Any info to share?

Difficult to have a Demille fav... each read is "best" so far.

Gate House was my first DeMille find @ Costco...which sat me off on the chase to find others. Atlanta Airport book stores have both The Lions Game & The Lion paperback reissue--both are in my DeMille travel bag now.

"Panther" sounds like another Corey potential.

Hi Mary Kay,

Thanks for the tip. I haven't checked DeMille's website for a few months, so this was the first time I heard about "The Panther".
I wish they would finally starting filming the Corey novels!!!
