Great! I was totally in the dark about who the murderer was in the first book, and I hope I can at least come closer to guessing in "Drool Baby. " What a masterful, fun maze of a mystery the first book was. Can't wait for the next!
Woo Hoo! This week I sent my revised manuscript of "Drool Baby" to my second-tier Beta readers, and the results are starting to come back. Fellow author Stephen Scott gave it a "Damn!" and a "couldn't put it down" and a "scared the hell out of me in a couple places" along with some other nice words. In a couple weeks, I'll do a polish on it. Meanwhile, I'll be painting my new cover girl, Kita, and taking care of housekeeping chores like "front matter" and "back matter. I'm getting excited!
I enjoyed "A Shot in the Park" enough that I was happy to see another in this series available right away! I downloaded "Drool Baby" last night, and I'm already unwilling to put it down to do my work, lol. I hope this series continues for a long time to come. Thank you for writing it!
You're so welcome! Lia and Peter have lots of adventures in store. I'm currently working on "Maximum Security," featuring my very own escape artist, Max, and a pair of star-crossed high-school sweethearts who reunite in middle age. It's scheduled for release in November, but it's going well, so I may be able to push the date up a month or so.
I hope that "Maximum Security" appears soon - I'm a Cincinnatian transplanted last year to Rochester NY and I love reading about all the Cincinnati locations. Will John's dogs be in the next one too? I'll always remember John and Nancy bringing the dogs to visit me in the hospital - the dogs were "in training" to be therapy dogs at the time and one jumped right up on my bed to give me a healing lick! Verona
I bet it was Napa, the Golden Retriever mix. She's a great kisser.
"Maximum Security" will launch November 21. For a taste, check today's post on my blog at canewsome.com I've posted the first 10% as a preview. I might make a very minor change or two in the next couple weeks - right now it's at my proofreader's - but nothing important will be different.
