I've really enjoyed this series so far, kudos to the nod from Clancy. Look forward to Ballistic.

You have us hooked with the Gray Man. Keep him coming please.

I'm not sure how you do it, Mark, but you do it well! Usually, with larger-than-life heroes, I get really tired of them (i.e. Alex Cross) and abandon the series. They get way too predictable, and perfect heroes are really boring. I have not tired of your books, though, and I'm really looking forward to the next one. If this one's due out in September, surely it's finished by now. Please tell us you're already working on the NEXT one!

I've listened to both the Gray Man and On Target and I enjoyed them tremendously. I'm rooting for Mark Gentry and I hope you will continue your series with him. I can't wait to listen to another one of your books.

Mr. Greaney...Purchased Gray Man and On Target last week. Toward the end of Gray Man, I ran to your second book to make sure Courtland did not die in the first book! Good job! I am forever a fan.

Thank you all! Ballistic will be out October 4th and it's the biggest and baddest yet. Hope you love it!

Read Ballistic right after Lee Child's latest book "The Affair.". I think the Gray Man and Jack Reacher are a lot alike and both are great book series.

Dead Eye, book 4 in the series- will be out in 2013. Just starting work on it now.

Glad you enjoyed Ballistic!

Very happy to hear it! Typically, how long does it take you to write one of your novels? Do you do on-location research?

Posted on Oct 10, 2012 9:13:20 AM PDT
Mark Greaney says:
I do a lot of on location research- All over Europe for Gray Man and in Mexico for Ballistic.

I think 6 months is about the average to write them, little more or a little less.

Outstanding series. I am a fan of Ludlum (not the ones written after his death), F. Paul Wilson, Robert B, Parker and the Reacher series and you rank right there with them. Keep writing!

Are you done with the gray man series? I hope not. Tell Clancy that you need to take a break and write another great gray man novel. The guys down range are hungry. Thanks

Mr Greaney, you are an outstanding writer. I am 73 years old and have not recently fallen off a turnip truck. I read to learn, for I am not done learning but for enjoyment I like mysteries and action that make sense and entertain.
You give me enjoyment with your work. If you write it, I will buy it and enjoy the reading of it.
