Listening to young children

We should all start listening to what our young children say. When my son was 3 years old, (when he went to bed each night, we would always read a book and then talk while I rubbed his back) he told me that God had fixed him and sent him to live with us. I asked him what he meant - He said, I was in a car accident, God fixed me and sent me to you because you were sad. He was pointing up when he said that. Even though at the time my family believed in God and I said prayers all the time, we were not going to church. I told this to my sister and my husband and that was all, then just let it go. I do believe that young children have more insight than we give them credit for.
