I love the 007 movies, especially those with Sean Connery, but I want to read the original texts now. I'm buying all the paperbacks for future reading in sequence. Just finished the first two, which I greatly enjoyed.
kiddo, "Casino royale" and "live and let die" are the first two Fleming book, and neither of the movies has conery in them. and with exemption to location in LLD and casino plot in CR, there is not even the slightest resemblance to the books in the movies... the only movies that r true to the books are Doctor No, From Russia with love, Goldfinger, Thunderball and OHMSS ... all made while Fleming was still alive, except OHMSS. After that, the only thing that ever matched with flemings books were the name, ans some individual scenes.
I hope you enjoy the books as much as I did the first time I read them. One thing to remember: There are about as many different versions of Bond as there are of Robin Hood, and each is an artifact of its medium [book, film, comic strip] and of its time.
i believe it is the publisher who has chosen not to release them as ebooks. hereby not said they cant be found, cuz i acquired them all some 7 years back for my Windows CE unit. i am not sure if it is Authorized copy, cuz i bought them on ebay, and it came in LIT format in my email. but you can check over there, or contact amazon, maybe they can guide you where to find them

That is the most comprehensive list of literary bond books, till may 2012. Raymond benson has 2 short stories "midsummer nights doom" & "live at five" which by publication falls somewhere between zero minus Ten and the tomorrow never dies, but I am not sure as to whether or not it actually falls into the series. . Mind, the books are pretty much independent, and can be read in any sequence you may please, except the Blofeld trilogy by Fleming, Rahani trilogy by Gardner, The union trilogy by Benson. And in some of the later books, the writer hint towards stuff from former books, but none of those references are crucial to the story plot.
