You not only risk dropping earth-changing technology onto a world not yet ready for such upheaval ... you might just loose all your stored videos. I'm an international pilot. Currently, my travels have me in Africa for six weeks. Knowing Amazon won't allow video streaming outside of the US, I bought (not rented) enough TV shows and movies to fill the Fire's memory. The Internet at my location is ... glitchy. My Kindle Fire is set to automatically sync its time over the Internet. During a recent Internet 'glitch' the Fire's clock reset to a much earlier date; I believe 1/1/2000. I promptly received a message stating that all my video rentals had expired and been deleted from my Fire. Sure enough, all my purchased (not rented) videos were gone. So, while time traveling, set your Fire's clock to manual updating. Otherwise you may be stuck with only three channels while visiting your hippy past in 1969. Dean M. Any suggestions on a ways to use the extra storage? The Goflex Media App is not available for the fire. It can be used with the browser by typing in 192.168.0.1.I tried using the Seagate Media sync to transfer files to the drive, but it did not work properly. Also I could not add new folders, like books.

Reply to this post.

Frederic E. For example I don't want to view certain types of books when I am searching for a book for myself. Is there a way to do that? I know like in netflix or blockbuster I can say only show movies with a certain rating. How do I do that when searching for books?

Reply to this post.

can anyone tell me if it ispossible to transfer "highlighted" material from books on my kindle to my PC? specific advise requested.

is it posible to transfer highlighted material from my kindle book to my desktop PC? specific advise?

Reply to this post.

kindle for android dead. broken. not working.

I have upgraded to Android 2.2 and so got the knew Kindle app for my tablet but it won't work.
