There is also a Harman Kardon AVR 2650 7.1 Channel 95-Watt Audio/Video Receiver with HDMI v.1.4a, 3-D, Deep Color and Audio Return Channel in the mix, but this not the best price offered by Amazon. In fact over the summer, this receiver hung around $500, with a big dip after Thanksgiving, before the price popped back up.

Current $549.99 Dec 11, 2012
Highest * $799.00 Sep 21, 2012
Lowest * $363.72 Nov 25, 2012
Average + $565.21

Mistral says:
This is a decent sounding speaker, not for audiophiles, but if you're on a budget, OK. Most of the reviews, professional and personal, on the web, date from 2009. Speaker technology has improved immensely since then. Most other sites list this as discontinued or not available, indicative that a replacement is near. This sale will clear some of Amazon/JBL's stock. Again, good value for the price, but not B & W, Def Tech, Golden Ear, etc. And not to be expected at anywhere near this price.
They're big, loud, & congested, but for the price you can't expect high resolution. Listen first, if you can find them, or place your bet and spin the wheel.

As a commenter, your intention should be to help potential shoppers, without worrying about protecting the interests of "A". I am sure that "A" is fully capable of taking care of themselves. And you make your comment even less useful when you say that those who understand you won't buy anyway and those who don't will have to take a chance. In fact, your comment would, in all likelihood, scare off any potential buyers, thereby achieving the exact opposite of what you intended!

@ AverageGuyShopper

The product page says:
"Today only, December 15, 2012, or while supplies last, save $150 on a HK AVR 2650 receiver with the purchase of $499 or more of the JBL ES Series from the Deal of the Day on Amazon.com"

So, it looks like the price of the receiver would be $400 as long as you spend enough on speakers.

Shame that Amazon did it this way as it makes it confusing.

Decent speaker in this price range. This deal is not that great since you can find many outlets pushing this out the door in the $225 - $250 price range. This is a 2008 model so keep that in mind.

UPDATE: I was specifically addressing the JBL ES90BK speaker.

Gregory Lee says:
I have 3 JBL speakers now in use and 3 others I'm not currently using, but I don't think I've heard any from the ES line, though I read reviews of some. JBL has been making a large range of speakers for a long time, from very cheap to good quality, and I'd guess these ES speakers would be worth what you pay for them. (It's very difficult to get any objective assessment of speaker quality.)
