This is another pretty good deal. Anyone with a Costco membership, most have this for 24.99, but you'll be paying tax in store. Much easier to just order from amazon and save yourself the drive!

so we on the west coast get the short end of the stick and you want to give us Marilyn instead of JAMES BOND!!! no thanks

Chris Carson says:
All you had to do was stay up until midnight or wake up by 8:30 to get it. I woke up at 3 AM to jump on this deal, so I have no sympathy for complainers!

I'd gladly get up for a 8:30 a.m. deal versus staying up to 1 a.m. for some 10 p.m. West Coast deal.

Didn't the sale start at midnight, your time? And wasn't it on sale until around 9 AM, Pacific? I didn't realize people on the West Coast needed 23 hours of sleep per night. Not to mention, it's Saturday, so you were most likely not working in the morning. I stayed up until 2 AM to see what the sale was. People on the East Coast stayed up until 3 AM. There are reasons to whine, but this isn't one of them.

And what's wrong with Marilyn, anyway?

In reply to an earlier post on Nov 24, 2012 10:15:49 AM PST
Us on the East coast had to stay up until 3am for the Bond deal, why are you complaining??

Nice deal on the Marilyn Monroe collection of seven movies, considering that just one movie, Gentleman Prefer Blondes on Blu-ray is $16.99.

Also note that the item description on the aspect ratio is wrong. All movies are shown as originally shot.

1.37:1 ('Gentlemen Prefer Blondes')
1.66:1 ('Some Like It Hot,' 'The Misfits')
2.55:1 ('How to Marry a Millionaire,' 'River of No Return,' 'There's No Business Like Show Business,' 'The Seven Year Itch')

What aspect ratios will look like on your set can be found at:

Ritchie Le says:
How did we get the short end? I received the Amazon email alerting me about Bond at 1:08 am where I then bought one for a Christmas present for my dad. Ppl in the east coast must have gotten the email at 4 - I think the west coast had the better advantage.

Ritchie Le says:
Not to mention that most customers who bought had the item in their cart before the announcement - they realized that the item dropped to 99 at midnight and started buying them.

I am going to complain about Amazon deals too! They have kept me at my laptop for 6 days now. I am tired of all the good deals I am getting!

My pets are getting the true bait-and-switch with me being home and them getting no attention. Amazon, you should feel ashamed for this!

The sad thing is that they replace it with a deal that has no chance of selling out.

Very true. I am always happy when an item sells out because unlike most people, I am diligent enough to buy early if I want it and ready for the next after a short while.
