World of Watches has this for 89.99. I didn't keep looking after that. Amazon, I have higher expectations of you!

I just checked the price history for each of these watches and the most any of them has ever sold for on Amazon was $150.

Watches are one of those things that tend to have an exaggerated MSRP, but to claim something is worth $895 when it has never sold for more then $150 seems to be crossing a line in my opinion.

Greenizgood says:
I went to the website you recommended and when using the product code, their price is $169.99. There are a great number of watches in the line, some that look the same at a lower price, but not the identical watches. Thanks for making me check though.

Thank you for the heads up on this watch. Was looking to buyu, but now I want.

Amazon, your credibility is getting worse & worse by the day. Your prices during Christmas on various items, especially toys, were much higher than anyone else. Your packaging is unacceptable & your prime delivery is suspect & not "2-day" most times. You aren't the only game in town anymore, &, apparently you have joined the ranks of "too big to fail". You need to do some housekeeping.

Oh, and I just received a package. I ordered on Monday and it isn't even noon.

I agree. You are compromising your business. I just found out I bought a knock off mascara from you by accident and complained but never got a refund. Payed for the real thing. I am so disappointed lately.

Fine watched do not exaggerate too much, i.e Fortis, Ball, etc. But this is no $900 watch. For crying out loud, it has a mineral crystal (found only in cheap watches). I hope no one buys this think they're getting a fine watch at a great deal, because they are not.

Of all the things offered in Daily Deals and Lightning Deals, watches are by far the most frequent and worst represented as far as actual value.

Go to: http://camelcamelcamel(dot)com/

Then copy the Amazon URL from the product page of the item you want the history of and paste it in the camel page's search box.

Miguel says:
Regardless the $895 pricing, the manufacturer sets the list price not Amazon. I concur that this is a very deceiving pricing scheme, nevertheless it's used by many cheap watch companies. Invicta for example.

However I think that if the manufacturer can call this a $900 dollar watch it's fair to review it like that.

And regarding the fact that you can find it cheaper somewhere else, when you buy from Amazon you are also paying for their customer support and their amazing return program.

Gope Gidwani says:
Manf may set the price was $895 but sell for $10. We are Amazon customer and NOT Manf hence Amazon has obligation to check the quality and then list the fair price for Amazon customer.

I don't usually check these posts for the goldbox deals, I either want them, or I don't. But this one seemed suspicious to me, too. I have no issues with Amazon. I have been a prime member for many years and have only had one shipment not arrive in the two-day time frame. I have never had any problem returning anything and they are my go-to website for almost anything. Yeah, this watch is a rip-off, definitely at $900 and probably at $100, too. But that is what makes us so important! We are helping each other every time we post a review or a comment. So thank you all, for helping me purchase only those things that are a good value. And in return, I'll make sure I review things so you are getting a good value, too!

K. Brantley says:
It is not Amazon's responsibility to set price or determine the value of goods that it sells. It is OUR jobs as reviewers and product users to help each other out. That is what makes Amazon such a great place to buy. Customer service from Amazon that you can count on, and customer feedback from Amazon users to help guide us all in the right direction.

And this watch is ridiculous. Don't buy it.

Linda, if you, and your fellow whiners, are not smart enough to know that Amazon doesn't set list prices I'm guessing that your judgment about credibility is not worth much.

And let me know when you find another seller who let public comments on their deals. Even members who repeatedly abuse every single Gold box deal do not get blocked here.

Yes, I personally feel Amazon should stop these blotted watch deals! :)
