Instead of buying a charger because it's "on sale", doesn't it make more sense to buy a charger that works best?

I purchased this charger some time back (June 2008) and it has proved invaluable over the years to me, my friends, and neighbors.

It has a mode which have recovered more than one severely discharged battery which couldn't be charged with older chargers.
If you need or want a charger, this one is worthy of serious consideration.

I purchased this charger a couple of years ago. I've only used it a few times but it has been working flawlessly. If you have a vehicle you don't drive often you should keep one in your garage.

I own this charger. It charges really slow from dead to full. compered to a true mechanics heavy duty charger. Does work well as a maintainer. I paid 22.** a couple years ago at walmart.

How long does it take to charge up a dead car battery when you haven't driven your car for a couple weeks? Does it jump too?

esanta says:
Happened to me last week. In 2A mode, which is a trickle charge, my dead battery was still not fully charged after 12 hours. The 4A mode still takes a few hours to fully charge the battery. I never tried the 6A mode. In 2A mode it definitely didn't have enough oomph to jump start my Highlander (the battery was flat dead)

Amazon, please make your deals a real DEAL.

Thank you!

KEviNTUCKY says:
Quite frankly, Amazon isn't obligated to post a replacement when the original deal sells out. Not sure why you all get so angry about it. They're a business and they marked an item down 20% from yesterday's price. Don't want it? Don't buy it.

Georgedc says:
thanks, but does this actually have a "jump" function rather than just trickle charging?

In reply to an earlier post on Feb 5, 2013 9:39:39 PM PST
Once a battery has been depleted to that extent, it needs a 10 amp charge for an hour and a half or so, and THEN you can trickle it back up. Trickle charges on empty batteries don't work well.
Highlander isn't exactly a small vehicle either.
Finally, if you don't have a cause for the failure, suggest you have the battery itself checked, make sure it is able to hold a charge. If you're in the Denver area, get ahold of me and I'll hook you up at my shop.

I can't remember it. I was never there. I remember the car rental company though, which is why I avoid them.
