Kindle (5th Generation) Software Updates

We have a new, free software update available for your Kindle (5th Generation). This update automatically downloads and installs on your Kindle when connected wirelessly; however, you can also manually download the software and transfer the update to your device via USB cable.

If you've recently encountered an issue connecting your Kindle e-reader wirelessly, or if you're having trouble accessing the Kindle Store, you may need to update the software on your device. Go to Critical Software Update for Kindle E-Readers for detailed instructions.

The software update includes general bug fixes.
