Fill Orders from Other Sales Channels (Multi-Channel Fulfillment)

With Multi-Channel Fulfillment, you store your inventory in Amazon fulfillment centers and have Amazon ship your products to customers who have ordered from you through other sales channels.

You can use the tools in your seller account to manage multi-channel fulfillment inventory, create shipments to Amazon, submit orders for Amazon to fill, and manage customer service for those orders. By using Multi-Channel Fulfillment, you can more easily scale your business and more easily manage spikes in orders during peak seasons. You can also offer one- and two-day delivery options to your customers in addition to standard three-to-five day delivery.

With multi-channel fulfillment, you manage your own customer service, and have the option to have returns shipped to you or back to Amazon fulfillment centers and returned to your existing pool of inventory. You can request to have your inventory returned to you at any time.

If you have a Professional selling account, you can list your multi-channel fulfillment inventory without it being available for sale on Amazon. For more information, see List Products for FBA.

Branding options

As of September 1, 2016, you can no longer have your multi-channel fulfillment orders sent from Amazon in plain brown boxes instead of Amazon-branded boxes. Any existing inventory in Amazon fulfillment centers will be sent in Amazon-branded boxes.

This service will be automatically disabled for all sellers on September 1, 2016.

Important: Amazon reserves the right to ship all products in Amazon-branded boxes at any time.

To disable the service before September 1, 2016:

  1. Under Settings in your seller account, click Fulfillment by Amazon.
  2. Locate Multi-Channel Fulfillment Settings and click Edit.
  3. To use branded boxes, next to Brand Neutral, select Disable.
  4. Click Update.

You still have the option to include a customized packing slip.

  1. In the Packing Slip - Merchant Name text box, type your business name (40-character limit). By default, the display text is your Amazon account name.
  2. In the Pack Slip - Text text box, type any additional information that you want (250-character limit). By default, the display text is blank.
  3. Click Update.

For more information about fees for multi-channel fulfillment, see Fulfillment Fees for Multi-Channel Fulfillment Orders.

There is a $1 charge for unbranded boxes until this service is discontinued. There is no charge for branded packing slips. Charges for unbranded boxes appear as part of your per-order fulfillment fees.
