Can I charge the battery for Kindle (Global Wireless) and Kindle (U.S. Wireless) outside the United States?

Kindle ships with a U.S. a micro-USB cable for charging your Kindle from a computer USB port. Customers in some countries also receive a U.S. power adapter that supports voltages between 100V-240V. How do I register/deregister my Kindle?

How do I pay for content?

My device is frozen. What do I do?

How do I find a missing book or magazine?

The Kindle has the ability to filter content by type. Here's how to adjust your filter settings:

  1. Click the "Home" button.
  2. Use the 5-way controller to navigate to the top of the Kindle screen. You'll see an arrow appear to the left and the right
  3. Move the 5-way controller to the left. You should see 4 different choices to filter your content.
  4. Use the 5-way controller to select your filter option and then press down on the 5-way controller.

Does Kindle work outside the U.S.?

We offer both wireless and computer-based USB options for buying, accessing, and transferring content to your Kindle. All Kindle models can be used outside the United States, but only Kindle (Global Wireless) offers wireless via Whispernet outside the United States. Learn more: Kindle | Kindle DX.

Can I download without wireless?

Yes. You can download content from your computer via the USB cable when you're outside the wireless coverage area. Learn more: Kindle | Kindle DX.

Can I share content with other Kindles?

Books can be shared between Kindles, Kindle for PC, or iPhones that are registered to the same account. There may be limits on the number of devices (usually 6) that can simultaneously use a single book. Subscriptions to newspapers or periodicals cannot be shared on multiple devices. How do I cancel my subscription?
