Other Help Areas
Currently, the Add a Product tool is available to Marketplace sellers in the following stores:
To add products in additional stores, sellers must be approved by Amazon. Learn more about Categories Requiring Approval.
We ask sellers not to list products until the appropriate store is available to them. Intentionally creating product pages in the wrong product category is prohibited, and we will remove product pages found to be in violation; we may also take steps to close a seller's account.
It is possible to list "everything else" items that do not fit in current categories, such as stamps, posters, or other similar products. As long as the product is not associated with a store that requires approval, it's okay to make a page for it.
Page Creation Restrictions
Some products cannot be sold on the Amazon.com website. We ask sellers to refrain from creating detail pages for these products. Amazon's catalog content restrictions are detailed in the Help section on Restricted Products. See our Selling Textbooks page for specific information on prohibited textbook items.
When you create a product detail page, you agree to follow the Product Detail Page Rules.
Duplicate product detail pages are not allowed. Sellers should determine whether the product is already offered on Amazon.com before creating a new page. Sellers may submit additional product details or submit corrections to errors on existing product pages.
Software products offered on our international retail websites are generally ineligible for listing on Amazon.com. Sellers may create product detail pages for Books, Music, DVD, Video, and Video Games products that are already listed for sale on Amazon's international sites. For more information, see Selling International Media Products.
We require standard product identifiers for most stores. For Baby Products, Camera & Photo, Computer & Video Games, Electronics, Home, Kitchen & Garden, Music, Musical Instruments, Software, Tools & Hardware, Toys & Games, and Video & DVD, your product must have a UPC or EAN. You are not required to provide an ISBN when creating a page in our Books store, but if an ISBN is available for the title, the ISBN should be used when creating the page.
