How to Submit Orders for Multi-Channel Fulfillment

This page describes the process to submit a Multi-Channel Fulfillment order in Seller Central.

Multi-Channel Fulfillment enables you to process your own orders while still using Fulfillment by Amazon for shipping. For an overview of Multi-Channel Fulfillment, refer to section Fulfillment and Multi-Channel Fulfillment. For information on submitting orders with feeds, go to Feeds Overview.

Note: Orders will need to be placed by 1:00 PM EST or they will not ship until the following business day.

Follow these steps to submit an order for Multi-Channel Fulfillment:

Select products for the fulfillment order

From your seller account follow these steps:

  1. From Inventory Amazon Fulfills, select the products you want to create an order for by checking the box to the left of the title.

  2. In the Apply to Selected pull-down menu, select "Create Fulfillment Order."

  3. Click "Go" to display the Provide Details page.

Enter the address and order details

In the Provide Details page, follow these steps:

  1. In the Shipping To Address section, enter the address information for where you want your products shipped. Accuracy is critical. Currently we provide no functionality to validate addresses at the time the address is entered. We cannot ship to an invalid address, but it will only become apparent later in the process, meaning a delay in shipping to your customer.

    Shipping Confirmation E-mail: The customer's e-mail address is optional. If you provide an e-mail address for Multi-Channel Fulfillment orders, your customers will receive an e-mail confirmation when the order ships. If you don't want them to receive a confirmation from Fulfillment by Amazon, leave the e-mail address blank. See a sample e-mail.

  2. In the Set Order ID section, enter a unique identifier in the Order ID field.
  3. In the Print on Packing Slip section, enter the following fields:
    • Order ID: By default this ID is the same as the one entered in the Set Order ID field. To use a unique identifier on the packing slip, uncheck the Same as above checkbox and enter the new identifier.
    • Order Date: The date to display on the packing slip (MM-DD-YYYY).
    • Comments: The Comments field will hold 1,000 characters. This text will be printed on the packing slip with your order. We recommend you include information about your return policy, contact for service, and so on.
  4. In the Specify Ordered SKUs/Units section, verify that the products you want to send in this order all appear.
    • To add a product, enter the product's title, MSKU, ASIN, or FNSKU in the Search and Add Items field and click "Search."
    • To delete a product, click the product's checkbox in the "Delete" column.
  5. Click "Continue" to display the Review and Place Order page.

Review and confirm the fulfillment order

In the Review and Place Order page, follow these steps:

  1. In the Choose Shipping Speed section, select a shipping speed for your order. Note: Listings containing Lithium Ion batteries may be classified as Hazmat, and can only be shipped via Standard shipping.
  2. In the Order Summary section, review the order and shipping information. To change any information, click "Change."
  3. Click "Place Order."
Note: Once a Multi-Channel Fulfillment order has been shipped, the destination cannot be changed. Please work with your buyer directly to resolve this issue once it has been delivered.
