Connect Wirelessly

Connect your Kindle Keyboard to a Wi-Fi or 3G wireless network to buy and download content, download content from the Cloud, sync to receive items, or sync to the furthest page read.

Check the Status of Your Wireless Connection

If you are having trouble with shopping, downloading, or syncing content, check your Kindle Keyboard for the type of wireless network it is connected to and the strength of the wireless connection.

From Home or any Settings screen, view the wireless indicators at the upper right corner of your Kindle Keyboard.

Your Kindle Keyboard is connected to 3G. This may also say EDGE or GPRS.

Your Kindle Keyboard is connected to a Wi-Fi network and has a strong signal. The Wi-Fi symbol appears when in range of a trusted Wi-Fi network.

Your Kindle Keyboard is connected to a Wi-Fi network and has a weak signal.

Your Kindle Keyboard is momentarily not connected to a wireless network. You may see this when you first turn on your Kindle Keyboard and it takes a few seconds to connect.
