Some of my apps are missing from the Library on Kindle Fire.

Select "Cloud" instead of "Device" from the Library.

Apps that are available but not downloaded are denoted by an arrow in the corner of the app icon. Tap the app icon to begin the app installation.

My Library is empty.

Check your registration.

Make sure your Kindle Fire is registered using the same e-mail address and password that was used to originally purchase your apps.

Select "Cloud" instead of "Device" from the Library.

The "Device" tab will only display apps that have already been downloaded to your Kindle Fire.

When "Cloud" is selected, the text will be orange.

I want to remove an app from my library.

Visit the Your Apps and Devices page from a web browser.

Visit Your Apps from a web browser. Select "Delete this app" from the "Actions..." drop-down menu to the right of the app you'd like to delete. Confirm you'd like to delete the app and your app will be permanently removed from the My Apps list on all Android devices registered to your account. If the app has been downloaded to a device, it will have to be manually uninstalled.

Downloads

Check your Wi-Fi connection.

If your Wi-Fi connection is weak or drops suddenly, a download may be interrupted.

Once you have enough available on-device memory, tap "Apps" from the Kindle Fire Home screen and select "Cloud" from the Apps Library. Find and long-press the app you'd like to download and select "Install" again.

I can't download apps from the Cloud. Check the Date & Time

Storage Space

Need help because... You can try to...
I received a notification or alert that my Kindle Fire has low application storage space.

Remove apps from your device to free up space.

Tap the notification or tap the OK button on the alert message and follow the onscreen instructions to select applications you wish to remove from your device in order to free up additional space.

Select which apps you want to remove from your device, then tap the Remove from Device button. Apps from the Amazon Appstore for Android will remain available from the Cloud tab within your Apps content library.

You will need to remove enough apps from your device so that the progress bar no longer displays a red portion indicating a lack of storage space.

If the Applications Storage screen indicates that you have no or very few apps downloaded to your Kindle Fire, your storage space may be low because you downloaded a large number of Amazon Instant Videos to your device. To free up storage space, tap the Quick Settings icon, then More, then Applications, then Amazon Video. Tap the Clear Data button. Your Amazon Instant Videos will remain available from the Cloud tab within your Video content library.
