Buy, Download & Send

You can buy Kindle books and send it directly to Kindle Cloud Reader.

Buy and Download to Kindle Cloud Reader

Shop for Kindle books directly from Kindle Cloud Reader and download Kindle titles to your device.

  1. From a web browser, visit Kindle Cloud Reader, and then select Kindle Store.

  2. Browse for Kindle titles you want to read and then click or tap a title to view the product detail page.

  3. Buy the Kindle title and send it to Kindle Cloud Reader:
    • From the Deliver to: drop-down menu, select Kindle Cloud Reader.
      Note: If you don't see Kindle Cloud Reader in the menu, make sure you signed in with the Amazon account registered to your Kindle Cloud Reader.
    • Select Buy Now with 1-Click.
      Tip: Click Send sample now to download the beginning of a book for free.

After you purchase a book or select to view a free sample, your title is downloaded to Kindle Cloud Reader and opens to the first page. Please note samples will not appear in your library.

Download from the Cloud

You can download books from Your Kindle Library in the Cloud.

All of your Kindle books are stored in Your Kindle Library and can be downloaded to Kindle Cloud Reader from the Cloud or Manage Your Kindle on Amazon. Even if you remove content from your Kindle Cloud Reader, you can download it again from the Cloud to the same Kindle reading app or another Kindle device.
  1. From Home, select Cloud to view items in Your Kindle Library.

  2. Click or tap the books you want to download. You can pin books you want to save for offline reading. To pin a book, right-click or tap and hold to select Download & Pin Book.

  3. From Home, select Downloaded Items to view items that are downloaded or pinned on your device.

Note: If you sign out of Kindle Cloud Reader, all downloaded Kindle books are removed from your computer. You must sign in again and download the titles from the Cloud to Kindle Cloud Reader again.
Note: Kindle Cloud Reader does not support all content types. Some textbooks and periodicals will not be available for viewing within Kindle Cloud Reader.

Deliver to Kindle Cloud Reader

Deliver books from Your Kindle Library in the Cloud to Kindle Cloud Reader.

To successfully deliver Kindle books, Kindle Cloud Reader must be registered to the same Amazon account you use to access Manage Your Kindle.
  1. Visit Manage Your Kindle and locate the books you want to deliver to your Kindle Cloud Reader.

  2. From the Actions drop-down menu, select Deliver to my....

  3. Select Kindle Cloud Reader and then select Deliver. Your book title is delivered and automatically downloaded to Kindle Cloud Reader.
