Using Send to Kindle for MacSend to Kindle for Mac offers you three methods for sending your personal documents to your registered Kindle devices, supported Kindle reading applications, and your Kindle Library:
Note: At this time, the Kindle reading apps that support reading personal documents are Kindle for Android App (running app version 3.5 or greater) and Kindle App for iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch. Supported File TypesWhen sending personal documents using Send to Kindle for Mac by control-clicking on documents from Finder or using drag and drop, you can send the following file types to your registered Kindles, supported Kindle reading applications, and your Kindle Library:
When sending personal documents using Send to Kindle for Mac by control-clicking on documents from Finder or using drag and drop, all documents are automatically delivered in Kindle format, except PDFs. However you may choose to convert your PDF documents to Kindle format. To turn this feature on, launch Send to Kindle for Mac app using either of these choices and click “Options” in the upper right corner. From the General menu, check the box next to “Convert PDF documents to Kindle format” under conversion. All PDFs going-forward will be send in Kindle format. When sending personal documents from any Mac application that can print, you can send content from any application that supports printing. All documents are always delivered in PDF format using this option. You don’t have option to convert PDFs to Kindle format. Send Documents from FinderLocate one or more documents you wish to send, and then follow the steps below.

Send Documents from the Print MenuChoose the print option from any Mac application that allows you to print (such as your e-mail application), and then follow the steps below.

Send to Kindle for Mac OptionsWhen using Send to Kindle for Mac, you have several options to customize how you use the feature. TitleYou can change the title of your personal document. Delete the title within the Title text field and type in a new title. The new personal document title will appear on your Kindle. By default, your document title is set to be the document file name if you use Send to Kindle for Mac through Finder. If you use Send to Kindle for Mac through the print menu of any application that allows you to print, the application will provide the document name. AuthorYou can change the author name of your personal documents. Delete the author name within the Author text field and type in a new author name. By default, your Amazon account name will be selected as the author. Delivery OptionsNext to "Delivery via" select “Wi-Fi (FREE)” to deliver your personal documents using a Wi-Fi connection. There is no charge for sending documents via Wi-Fi. If a Wi-Fi connection is not available or your Kindle only supports delivery via Whispernet, then you can choose to deliver your personal documents by selecting the Whispernet option. Charges for delivery via Whispernet may apply. Device Delivery SelectionYou will see a list of all your registered Kindle devices and supported Kindle reading apps. Select one or more Kindles or supported Kindle reading applications to which you wish to send your personal documents. If no Kindle device or supported reading application is registered to your account, you’ll need to register one before you can send content. Note: At this time, the Kindle reading apps that support reading documents are Kindle for Android and Kindle for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. You can also send your personal documents only to your Kindle Library by choosing not to select any Kindle devices or Kindle reading applications listed in the “Deliver to” field. Your Kindle Library can store up of 5 GB of personal documents in the Amazon Cloud. Archive documents in your Kindle LibraryWhen using Send to Kindle for Mac, you can choose to automatically store your personal documents in your Kindle Library in the Amazon Cloud, where they can be redownloaded conveniently from anywhere, at any time to your Kindle. Personal document archiving to your Kindle Library is enabled by default. When using Send to Kindle for Mac, you’ll see the option to enable or disable this setting. Check or uncheck the box next to “Archive document in your Kindle Library.” You can download stored personal documents from your Kindle Library on Kindle Keyboard, Kindle, Kindle Touch, Kindle for Android, and Kindle for iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch. Whispersync of notes, highlights, bookmarks along with last page read is available is available on your stored personal documents that have been converted into Kindle format. OptionsClick on Options in the top right corner of the Send to Kindle screen for further options, including Registration, Language, and Network settings. You can choose Feedback to send us feedback about the application, or About for version information, terms of use, and to check for updates to the application. ![]() Additional options:
