We have a new, free software update available for your Kindle Fire HD 7". This update automatically downloads and installs on your Kindle Fire HD 7" when connected wirelessly; however, you can also manually download the software and transfer the update to your device via USB cable.
This software update includes general software improvements and the following new feature enhancements:

As part of this update, we've moved to Gmail’s OAuth 2.0 authentication system, which provides Gmail customers with enhanced security measures. If you use Gmail on your Kindle Fire, you'll need to setup your Gmail account again to continue to receive e-mails.
To do this, tap the Menu button from your inbox, and then tap Settings. Select your Gmail account, and then tap Delete > Delete Account. After you've removed your account from your Kindle Fire, you can set it up again through the app by going to Settings > Add Account. To learn more about setting up e-mail accounts on Kindle Fire, go to Set Up Email, Calendar & Contacts.
If you see duplicate e-mails on your Kindle Fire while using a POP3 account, you'll need to delete these duplicate e-mails from your inbox. You will not continue to see duplicated e-mails within your inbox.
