About Exchanges & Replacements

You can exchange or replace an item through our Online Returns Center if your exchange or replacement meets certain criteria.

Did you receive a damaged, defective, or wrong item sold by Amazon.com and want to replace it with the same item? Is your order missing an item or part and you want a refund or replacement?

Note: Items fulfilled by Amazon.com but sold by another seller can't be replaced, but may be returned.

You can exchange an item through our Online Returns Center (Amazon.com Full Site)Online Returns Center (https://www.amazon.com/returns) if your return item wasn't purchased with a promotion (except for free shipping promotions), the return item isn't subject to a restocking fee, the return item was purchased with a credit or debit card, and the exchange item meets the other eligibility criteria listed below.

Note: We can't process exchanges for gift returns unless you’re the original purchaser of the gift. Exchange items cannot be sent as gifts.

Replacements for Missing Parts or Accessories

If you received an order that is missing an item or parts, you can initiate a refund or replacement from Amazon.com, depending on how the item was sold or fulfilled:

  • For items sold Amazon.com: Go to Your Orders, locate your item with the missing part, select Return or Replace Items, and choose Standard Refund or Replacement.
  • For items fulfilled by Amazon.com: We are only able to return, not replace, items sold by sellers that are fulfilled by Amazon. Go to Your Orders , locate your item with the missing part, select Return or Replace Items, and choose Standard Refund.
  • For items old by third-party sellers: We are unable to initiate a replacement or refund for third-party items with missing parts. However, you can contact the seller from Your Orders and describe the missing parts or items. Go to Your Orders , locate your item with the missing part, select Contact Seller describe the missing parts or items and select Send e-mail.

Note: You can also contact the product's manufacturer for assistance. Manufacturer contact information can usually be found on the product packaging or in the paperwork included with the product.

Exchanges for a Different Size or Color

This option is available for apparel, sports, shoes, baby products, jewelry, luggage and watch items that have a size or color variation. The exchange item must be:

  • A different size or color than the return item
  • Shipped and sold by Amazon.com

Exchanges for an Item in Your Cart

This option isn't restricted to specific product categories. The exchange item must be:

  • Added in a quantity of one to the Cart
  • Shipped and sold by Amazon.com
  • Not an Add-on Item
  • Not identical to the item being returned
  • Not marked as a gift in your Cart
