Authorize Your Device

All devices used to import or download music using Amazon Music must be authorized to your Amazon account, based on our license agreements with the content providers.

To manage the devices authorized to your Amazon Music account, go to the Manage Your Devices section of Your Amazon Music Settings Your Amazon Music Settings (Amazon.com full site) page.

To authorize your device:
  1. Attempt to import, download, or play music from your music library your music library (Amazon.com full site).
  2. Click or tap Authorize in the pop-up window that appears.

Note: You can have up to 10 devices authorized to your account, and each device can only be authorized to one Amazon Music account at a time. If there are 10 devices authorized to your account, you can't authorize an additional device until you:

  • De-authorize a device and, after waiting 30 days, authorize a new device in its place.
  • De-authorize all of your devices (this can only be done once every 365 days) allowing you to immediately authorize a new device.
