I purchased a Kindle Touch (with special offers), to upgrade from my Kindle 2. I registered the Kindle to my Amazon account (same as the other Kindle) through the device. Registration went fine, wi-fi is working, and everything on my amazon account online says that the new Kindle Touch is registered to my account. The new Kindle Touch says I have 55 items in my archive, but when I go to pull items over to my library, they are all just stuck in pending. The circle at the top left of the screen is doing nothing, and all of the books are grayed out except for the dictionary and user guides. I tried hard resetting the device, but it didn't do anything. Tried turning wireless off and back on, didn't work. Any suggestions, or would I be better off just returning it?

When you tried the hard reset, did you hold the power button for a full 30 seconds, and did the device actually reboot? If not, try it one more time. When it's rebooting, you should see an image of a boy sitting under a tree, with a progress bar underneath.
If it won't reboot, or rebooting doesn't clear things up, you'll need to contact customer support. Use the 'Contact Us' button on the right side of this page.
