This is AWESOME, Wished it would have happened earlier. THIS is what music consumers have been waiting for.

Just an FYI - in the promo vid here the laptop browser is linking to "http://www.amazon.com/clouplayer " each time it shows the address bar on it. (Check 1:06 for instance.)
Other than that, I'm pretty excited. Now I don't have to burn and upload things!

I happened to just buy six physical CDs from Amazon. Four arrived yesterday, two today. I just checked my cloudplayer and only one song is there, from one CD, which isn't among the six I just bought. Let alone the dozens of other CDs I've bought from Amazon since 1998.

Nice, but I'll stick with CD->FLAC->Subsonic (until I find a music server that streams gaplessly over the web). Now if I could get this for all of my CD's, then it'd the cloud bit would be pretty awesome.....but 600+ CD's make this less useful for me.

This is amazing!!!
Any plans to do this with book purchases as well (though I'm sure the publishers probably won't be on board with that idea but it never hurts to ask)?

This changes everything and is the most awesome thing ever. I cannot wait for this to catch on with books.

This is precisely what I 'm concerned about. I've had problems getting individual tunes from Amazon in the past

David Coleman says:
Truly sad. I let their software scan my collection (includes past purchases from Amazon). Eligible songs? Three (3) that were part of the Windows sample files. Really? Given all of the Billboard top 100 songs/albums in my library. Well.....sad. Time to try Apple to see what I can get for the same $25.
