Apple killed Lala and I've been wondering what they would do with the technology (NOTHING). I was extremely happy to see that Amazon (which is also my all time favorite stock investment choice) has picked up the technology and has improved upon it. I tried using the cloud and player this morning and was very impressed.

Scott Mathison says:
Apple doesn't let other services that compete with its products on their devices. So you should switch phones just to get them to change.

Glad to see this. I have been an S3 customer since 12/2007 but there were reasons I still used DropBox and until Amazon gets some really strong client apps 3rd parties reselling S3 services will still be viable even at double the price. So what is coming from Amazon to really cinch total control - or is that in the plan?

I absolutely love this, and am using it with the free 20 gig trial promotion, but I have to wonder how this service compares to the infamous rumored Google Music. I am very impressed that big G is not controlling like Apple and allows this great service even though they may be competing directly with it in year or so. Same goes for the Android market.
Thank you Amazon for embracing those consumers who embrace openness. Apple, you make beautiful hardware, but for a company that claims to have the best user experience, you sure do allow your decade old dogma of "control, control, control" ruin said experience. Grow up.

This technically doesn't compete with any service Apple currently offers.

The only people who are worried about that are people with ILLEGAL content on their PC... what do you have to hide???

If Amazon doesn't implement some sort of tagging device, this could be a problem. Imagine you've just uploaded a TON of music and a lot of it isn't tagged properly.
P.S. While you guys are at it please search AmazonMP3 for "Makell Bird" and purchase some tracks!
