Watching this video explains why Amazon is number one in online retail business even better they acquired Zappos the best place to buy shoes. Amazon's customers service is what made them a titan in online shopping and visionary leader like Jeff Bezos with his long term approach is paying big time. I am please to be a prime member at Amazon and VIP at Zappos, and sure to continue doing business with them. Beside that I even got hooked on buying Kindle. Thank you Amazon or should I say Jeff.

I wanted to watch this video to help me decide between the Kindle and the Kindle DX. I didn't really learn that. I think bigger screen would be better, but I don't know if holding a bigger device would be more of a downside than the screen is an upside.
What I learned is that Amazon is a much greater company than I have appreciated as a customer because they have such a smart and meaningful leader in Founder & CEO Jeff Bezos. It is because of the obsession on how does this help our customer that they have the best online shopping site and their other products are also growing in value to customer because of the continued focus.

I to am a 20 year apple devotee, I am convinced that the Kindle, for long bouts of reading is incomparable. I have the iPhone, iPad, and Macbook--- But have been enlightened to the purpose of the KINDLE.
I have now ordered the 3G (9 inch) Kindle. Bezos is brilliant, I concur with his opinion about for profit models of business 'improving the world' vs. non-profit in market appropriate situations. This guy is in the league of Sir Isaac Newton, Aristotle... brilliant man of our time! Everyone on the planet NEEDS a Kindle.

I've just finished watching you on Charlie Rose's show and like many other people who have submitted comments, I think you have me sold on a Kindle. Your conversation with Mr. Rose was fascinating. I have been following you and Amazon since the time you graduated from Princeton and wrote the business plan for Amazon during the ride home to Seattle. It has been fun watching both you and the company. If I were able to have a conversation with you, I think the first question I would ask, just to break the ice would be, do new Amazon employees start off with an unfinished door on sawhorses as a desk? I've always thought that was a really cool way to get started.

I am a devoted fan of Kindle, it is a great device for book lovers like me! It is excellent for long-time reading. I also have Kindle for PC app installed on my iPad, but the reading experience is not as ideal as the Kindle. Well done with Kindle!

Just recently bought a kindle and was looking for some product info when I found this page. I've got to say I was highly impressed by this interview, just as I have been highly impressed with my Kindle in the few days I've owned it. It is quite possible that I'll switch to primarily buying eBooks and save my traditional book purchases to high quality, hardcover editions (when available) of only my favorite books. I love having bookcases full of print books, and the experience of reading traditional books, but Jeff is spot on when talking about the selling points of the Kindle as it relates to some of the reasons I haven't read nearly as much as I would like to have in recent years. In just days of owning the device I have been sucked wholly back into the joys of reading and I don't foresee this newfound enthusiasm waning any time soon, either for reading or for the Kindle.

I just have to say one thing about this video: I've been looking for a reason to convince me to buy this product for almost two years now, and after seeing this interview I am fully convinced and I just bought it ( Kindle 3G Wireless Reading Device, Free 3G + Wi-Fi, 3G Works Globally, White, 6" Display with New E Ink Pearl Technology ). I haven't used it yet but I already know which will be my first e-book to be read on it. I will comment more once I receive the device. I'll keep you posted.
Nice work Jeff to you and every member of your team. I really enjoyed this video

You won me over. I love Mac and only use Mac computers, I also love Barnes and Nobles. After watching this, there was no doubt in my mind that this is what I needed. I have too many books and it really makes my wife pretty upset because I dont get rid of them, I use most of them for reference for the books I write. This is perfect for me. I love you and amazon.com

Joanne Phillips says:
hi Jeff, I am interested in the Kindle as I read lots of books and love a good comedy book to keep my spirits high and easy going. It makes life more relaxing, I suffer with M.S. and each day is scarey as I don't know if I can sit reading a good book and relax, I struggle with pages and balance which means reading proves a nightmare if I can't control turning each page. I am sure the kindle will solve that problem for me now.
Thank You very much

I own the Kindle DX for over a year. I have an eyesight problem and need the best contrast possible besides the larger font. Is the new Kindle a lot better than the one I own? Should I stay with the 9'' screen or would the more convienient small size (using larger font) be a better choice? I would love to hear from other Kindle users.

One thing that comes across loud and clear in your interview with Mr. Rose is INTEGRITY, well done. It's so refreshing to listen to someone speak with such clarity and focus.
Do you envision one day, our children or in my case grandchildren carrying their school books loaded on their Kindles, rather than strapped to their backs like pack mules?

An absolutely brilliant dialogue! The last segment on philanthropy (i.e., poverty and how best to reduce it) and how technology is tilting the business marketing/R&D model toward the consumer is spot on. I would love to see an entire discussion with Jeff on this topic. Jeff has a strong fan in me and when my wife (who is technophobic) receives her Kindle (just ordered it for Christmas), I'm sure Jeff will gain another fan.
Jeff - your efforts make the world a better place. Well done!!!
