Aubrey Bodine's daughter, a principal in the preservation and study of his photographs. She is cited in the acknowledgments on p. vii. PRESENTATION: by Jennifer Bodine aligned on a diagonal with the corners of the front endpaper and done in pen & ink in clear script, signed, and dated November 1988. DUAL AUTHOR SIGNED: on the half-title page, Harold A. Williams in blue ink, Kathleen Ewing in black ink. CONDITION: Pages: clean and fresh, except pp. 34-35 with bottom margin spot and extremities with some spotting. / Covers: some spotting; sides bowed. / Jacket: bright and clean; overall rubs and edgewear, now sleeved in a transparent jacket protector. / Binding: Very Good. PAGINATION: Complete; 111 pages, 102 numbered, texts illustrated with 3 photos including the frontispiece portrait of Bodine by Holmes Mettes (1927) and with 68 tri-tone reproductions of Aubrey Bodine photographs, each full-page with caption, the photographs selected from many thousands of negatives by Kathleen Ewing. SIZE: 12.17 x 10.08 inches. FORMAT: Publisher's brown cloth sewn with textured tan endpapers, decorated with a repeating pattern, like bird feet in tidewater sand; the book jacket with different tri-tone reproductions of photographs on each side. KATHLEEN EWING: is an authority on the works of A. Aubrey Bodine and she maintained a well-known gallery that exhibited photograph prints in Washington, D.C (1976-2009). HAROLD A. WILLIAMS: longtime editor of the Baltimore Sun where Bodine was a feature photographer (1927-1970).
