First edition thus. BOOKS SHIP THE NEXT BUSINESS DAY, WRAPPED IN PADDING, IN A BOX. 92 pages; 62 gravure-printed photographic plates; 11 x 13 inches. Includes an illustrated list of captions. Originally published in Paris in 1933 as "Paris de Nuit". This edition was printed in heliogravure from the original 1933 plates (excepting seven images for which the original plates had disappeared.) Exceptionally well printed and gorgeous, it also has the distinction of being much larger than the original: each image has a rich black frame around it. "Paris de Nuit" is one of the cornerstones of photographic literature, see Roth, Book of 101 Books; Parr & Badger, The Photobook, Vol. 1; The Open Book; and Fotographica Publica. Overseas sales will require extra postage for this volume.
