First edition, 2006. NEW with a price sticker to the back of the slipcase. BOOKS SHIP THE NEXT BUSINESS DAY, WRAPPED IN PADDING, IN A BOX. Facsimile notebook. Photographically illustrated wrappers; pages glued and sewn with binding exposed. Strip of white tape across the spine with title printed on it. Enclosed in matching paper sleeve. All as issued. 54 pages, including 1 three-page gatefold; 24 color & varnished photographic plates; 8.5 x 11 inches. Out of Print. In November of 1991, Robert Frank went to Beirut on a commission to photograph the city's devastated downtown in the aftermath of the Lebanese civil war (1975-1990). Much of the work he did there was published with that of five other photographers. Alongside that work, Frank also made Polaroids of the city and its environs, which, on his return home, he stowed away in his studio. It was only many years later that he considered those images again, and used them to create a sketchbook's worth of Polaroid collages. Come Again is a facsimile version of that notebook.

First Edition. First Printing. As New in As New Dust Jacket. Signed! This copy is very prominently and beautifully signed in black ink-pen on the title page by Robert Frank. It is signed directly on the page itself, not on a tipped-in page. The photographer is notoriously averse to any kind of signing, but he made a very rare public appearance in New York City in conjunction with the book's publication. He signed copies for some people who waited patiently in line then abruptly and inexplicably left before he could sign the rest. This title is a contemporary photography classic. As far as we know, this is the only signed copy available online, is still in the publisher's original plastic wrappers, and has no flaws, a pristine beauty. Signed Robert Franks are rare, command as much as $20, 000 online even if they are not in fine condition, and will always keep their value. A rare signed copy.
