The Hoover Quietforce Bagged Canister took me about 15 easy minutes to setup out of the box. It's lightweight, easy to maneuver and the suction is AWESOME. I also like how you can choose different suction levels so you don't end up eating a flimsier rug that would otherwise be hard to vacuum. It is quiet -- don't get me wrong, you can tell you've got a vacuum turned on, but it's much quieter than my Bissell that I use downstairs. A minor complaint I would have is that the upholstery brush attachment can be a little hard to work with, but it's not terrible. Replacement bags can run a bit expensive, but again this comes down to convenience and the fact that they're much cleaner to work with than constantly dumping and periodically cleaning a bagless. I've used the vacuum to clean upstairs probably 4 times so far and haven't had to replace the bag as of yet, so that's definitely a good thing. Overall, I would recommend this vacuum!...Read more
The Brother ADS1500W is a decent option for scanning, but it has its flaws. Setup took a while, although it was nice being able to set it up on my PC rather than using the LCD screen on the unit. Document scanning has thus far gone off without a hitch, as has the plastic card scanning (which is done through a convenient slot on the unit). What I really don't like about this scanner is the fact that in order to upload scans online, you're required to give Brother full access to your cloud account. This really shouldn't be necessary, and basically takes away that option for me since I'm not going to give them full access. However, I understand it's not a big deal to some people, so take that into consideration. Overall, it works for the most part, although for my personal needs I can't use it to upload to cloud storage due to my own privacy concerns. Get it together, Brother, it shouldn't be that difficult!...Read more
My first impressions upon receiving this monitor were, "Wow, this box is heavy!" and then, "Wow, this monitor is slick!" This is my first experience with a touchscreen monitor. I have several tablets in the 7-10 inch range, and once this is hooked up it is kind of like having a massive 23-inch tablet -- although it's not comfortable using on your lap. Sitting at my desk with this in front of me, I have no issues and no complaints with it. Usage is pretty much self explanatory and everything works exactly how it's supposed to. If you hear somebody claim the colors pop on this monitor, believe them -- this thing is CRISP! I haven't had any problems with the touchscreen functionality and I'd definitely recommend this monitor for anybody looking for a high quality touchscreen for their setup....Read more
This Brother printer is yet another solid option among many in a competitive market. I have an Epson that retails at a similar range, and this Brother is A LOT bigger and clunkier than the Epson. Performance they rate similarly, although I slightly prefer the Epson for photo printing and scanning. The Brother seems to cost less over the long term as refills are cheaper than Epson. It all depends on personal preference, but this Brother is a quality option for anybody considering a multi-function printer....Read more
I've found these Francois et Mimi LD-9210 Bluetooth Headphones to be slightly below average as far as wireless headphones go. The sound quality is decent but nothing to write home about; there's more hissing and very slight popping than you'd get with a higher quality set. The build quality doesn't seem up to par with other headphones in the same price range and some that are even cheaper. The hinges seem like they could fall apart at a moment's notice (but they haven't after a month of semi-regular use). Don't be fooled by the fancy brand name, these are just average to slightly below average wireless headphones....Read more
I love this monitor! Setup was a breeze, just took it out of the box and got the base on it, hooked up the DVI cable to my PC and it was good to go. The colors on here are absolutely amazing, much better than my last monitor. It's slim, attractive and performs beautifully. What's not to like? I tried valiantly but I couldn't find anything bad to say about this monitor. Definitely recommended!...Read more
This 3M Easy-Adjust Dual Monitor Arm is high quality and feels like it's built to last. Installation wasn't too difficult, although the instruction manual that's included could have laid things out a bit simpler. I have two 25 inch HP monitors hooked up with no issues. Everything is adjustable, although it's very rigid (and meant to be that way, which is a good thing). It's lightweight and attractively designed without sacrificing quality or usability. Not much bad to say about this product, it's pricey but if you want a high quality dual monitor arm, this will soon be your best friend....Read more
Wow - this Friedrich air conditioner cools not only our living room but basically our entire house pretty effortlessly. But that's the only thing that's effortless about this beast. It is HUGE! It wouldn't have even fit in our cutout in the upstairs bedroom, so we had to do a custom install in the living room window. Have at least two people ready to go for setup, this thing is over 100 pounds and there's no way one person can set this up. We had to put up brackets and almost threw out our backs to get this thing in, but we finally did it. It's wide, it's heavy, and it cools. That's pretty much all you really need to know about it. No complaints yet about performance, will update this review if anything comes up....Read more
We used this Sony HDR-CX380 Camcorder on our recent trip to Colorado. We have absolutely no complaints at all. It's easy to use and hold, set up was a breeze, image quality is great, and it even comes with an HDMI cable to hook up and start watching your recordings right away. It's extremely lightweight but doesn't feel flimsy at all. I haven't dropped it (thankfully) so I don't know how much of a beating it can take, but it seems like it will hold up well over time. Overall, like I said, we have no complaints. Definitely recommended!...Read more
My oldest daughter likes the Beyblade line, so I figured she might enjoy this Beyblade Shogun Steel Octagon Showdown Battle Set. It's fun for a while; you get your typical Beyblade action except with figures that battle it out. Eventually after a while it gets old, and we've only used it maybe a grand total of 5 different occasions. If you've got a kid who likes Beyblade, they'll probably enjoy this, but in our household it hasn't been a "go-to" toy for entertainment....Read more
