The Pemberley Variations by Abigail Reynolds are a joy to read.
This talented author lets us have a glimpse into the lives of Fitzwilliam Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet after P&P finishes. A lot of us are eager to find out how our favourite pair settle down to courtship and marriage. I see Abigail Reynolds has done it again.
Her newest book is a gem. I could not put it down, I had to read it from beginning to end.
It differs from her usual style. It is a modern story but does not detract from this author's easy flow of words.
Cassie is a Marine Biologist who had to fight her way through the education system to achieve her goal. Calder is the rich boy who is also an author;sensitive, with a bully for a father.
I liked the book he wrote where he casts himself as Darcy and Cassie as Elizabeth. It takes the form of a confession of his love for her and his life.
I enjoyed the political overtone which I found fascinating.
