I have almost 8 month boy/girl twins. When the playhouse is closed, my son or daughter can play for quite a while (while the other one plays on the outside of the house). But my son is now too big to comfortably fit inside the remarkably small interior of the playhouse. So we converted to the open option. My son pulled himself up by the arch to stand, and the whole structure tipped and knocked my daughter on her chin. We learned to hold tightly onto the structure when they play. Also, it's lightweight enough that either of the twins can kick out and move the entire thing around on the floor. The toys are fun and engaging, and when open, there is enough play space for two children, but it's inherently unsafe and unstable when converted to the open format. We didn't have any real stability issues when it was closed as the playhouse....Read more
My twins love the toy on the tray, are delighted by the mobile... BUT the swing can't swing a 13 lb baby. Box says it has 25 lb max, but doesn't work for either of my babies. Cute design, love the different swing positions. Just wish the motor was strong enough to operate efficiently with a 13 lb baby. Enough said....Read more
Brilliant. Lightweight and portable, this mobile goes with us everywhere. I have both designs (boy/girl twins) and am pleased with both versions. The babies love them, and I can get some shopping done with less fuss. Delighted with product and price!...Read more
I never saw this mobile put together or working. No idea if a baby would like it. Since I don't have that info, I gave it 3 stars (right down the middle). My issue is how it arrived to me... I ordered this as a baby shower gift. It did not come new in a box, one that I could give as a gift. It came IN A TRASH BAG (tied up) and was obviously NOT NEW. I can't give this as a GIFT!!! I am returning the product. Had I ordered this mobile for my twins, I might have put it together and lived with the fact that it wasn't new in a box. But I paid over $50 and I expected it to come in gift-able condition. There. My rant is over and I can move on....Read more
First off, let me say that I am a HUGE Julie Garwood fan. I've read every single book she's published, and my favorite book of all time is THE GIFT. That being said, I enjoyed this book. It had a lot of the quirky humor I've come to expect (and enjoy) from Julie Garwood.. Still, it was missing that little spark that lit up the pages of her historical romances. Good story, fun read... if it hadn't been a Julie Garwood book, I probably would have rated it 3 stars instead of 4 stars....Read more
I was delighted with this creepy little thriller... the atmospheric suspense was fantastic! Well-written and delightfully paced, this book was GREAT. I've been reading eBooks on my iPad at night while I stay awake and care for my newborn twins, and this book kept me company in a most engaging way. I HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone who likes a little bit of scary to while away long nights......Read more
I found a couple of things in this book that I thought were great for an expectant mother of twins (and I just recently found out I was having twins)... but my first thought after reading the book cover to cover in one sitting was "how depressing". There was a lot of negativity -- from the opening chapter which explains that having twins is exponentially more difficult than one might assume (duh), to the section where the author gives snarky responses to questions people might ask you about your twin pregnancy (was that necessary?), through the end where she basically ends the book with "good luck!".
I did like the "list" of "must have" items for twins, which is making my shopping more manageable (but most of the other lists were common sense, I thought). As I don't have other children, much of the information in this book didn't apply to my sitation, though it might be helpful to other soon-to-be parents of twins who have older children. I also liked the section on sharing toys.
All in all, I'm happy I found some information in this book that seemed helpful in preparing to have twins, but I found the over-all tone to be, as another reviewer wrote, "doom and gloom".
I'm going to photocopy the two sections that I thought were helpful and then donate this book to my local library. It's certainly not worth the space on my book shelf.
I had never seen any of these movies before, so I bought this Triple Feature on a whim. It was inexpensive (less than if I had rented them, for sure) and delivered free and fast via Amazon Prime. "The Perfect Man" was cute. "Head Over Heels" was hilarious -- silly romantic comedy in all the right ways. By far my favorite movie of the three. "In Good Company" was okay... doubt I'd watch it again, but it wasted a couple of hours and put me right to sleep. The subtitles worked well and were easy to read. Not the greatest collection of movies, but well worth the price here. I will definitely watch "Head Over Heels" again, so the collection was worth the price for that movie alone....Read more
