Carol Ann Preston is an author, Certified, Licensed and Ordained Chaplain, Licensed Massage Therapist, Reiki Teacher and author with over 25 years experience developing and teaching award winning programs for adolescence and adults. She is gifted with the ability to communicate about subjects of an emotional nature with ease, sensitivity and honesty.
Remembering Who We Are: a workbook is her first published book and she is currently working on several projects addressing heroin addiction, healthcare and the cycle of life -grief and dying, writing both non-fiction and fiction.
Room For Healing was created to support healing and life through workshops, retreats and education. Carol offers various formats for those interested in 12-step spirituality using the tools outlined in her book, Remembering Who We Are: a workbook. She also presents on a variety of topics such as: 12 step spirituality, health care,trigeminal neuralgia, addiction and recovery, teens for positive peer support, child abuse, domestic violence, dysfunction in the class room; guided relaxation and meditation, birth-death; the cycle of life, grief, relationships and more.
Carol has been a volunteer most of her adult life. She is most proud to have participated in raising community awareness about child abuse and domestic violence during the late 1970's, as she worked with the Costa Mesa, Ca. Jr. Woman's Club to raise awareness and money, supporting a The Albert Sitton Home for abused and neglected children.
In 2000 Carol was one of four massage therapists from the United States, selected to provide sports massage at the 2000 Sydney Olympic/Paralympic Games for elite physically disabled athletes. Carol also developed and presented the teen, 'VIP' program, for at-risk youth in Lewisville Texas, with the aim of rebuilding self-esteem and trust. The Meadows Foundation, a private philanthropic institution, awarded the 'at-risk' campus for these students year long effort of mentoring 'at-risk elementary students.
Carol continues to volunteer in her community and recently ended her service as the Houston National Trigimenal Neuralgia Support Group Coordinator.
As a Chaplain, Carol Ann provides spiritual support for those dealing with grief, chronic or terminal illness, addiction/recovery and relationship issues.
