Purchased for backpacking I would have to say this is an ideal combination of quality and convenience. The first use was in Yellowstone where I had a range of clear, rainy and snowy nights in temps 30-40 degrees F. The tent stood up well against heavy rain that accumulated on the ground and the seams held. I had a couple drops that made an appearance in the corners on the bottom but kept a small towel handy to wipe condensation anyway so it wasn't an issue (if you dig a small trench around the tent so water drains off it helps too). The "D" style door is handier than a traditional pup tent and if you can tie the guy ropes to a tree it's even better.
