Laurence Gardner does a fine job, as always, leading us to the gate and door; he shows us the key and the empty space that awaits the arrival of the key. However, the inner sanctum remains inviolate; as it should be. We are lead to the Holy of Holies, but not INTO the Holy of Holies. We are enthralled with the final realizations of what really happened to Mary and Jesus... but the mystery of mysteries remains aloof, inviolate. For those who prefer to move beyond Gardner's academics, "ORMUS- The Secret Alchemy of Mary Magdalene Revealed" will satisfy...
