This is a beautiful story about a mother, her family and her precious baby Celeste, who all were part of God's special plan. It's heart wrenching, yet gives so much hope. A story about the joy of suffering that needs to be told in today's society. I felt like Catherine Adamkiewicz was my best friend bearing her soul to me. This story will stay with me a long while!
Madame Royale is a wonderful, heart-wrenching, inspiring and fascinating historical novel. The interior struggles and perseverance of Marie-Therese (the only surviving child of the martyred King Louis XVI and Queen Marie-Antoinette during the French Revolution) can inspire us all even if we live a very different life in a very different time than she did. Anyone interested in the French Revolution should read Vidal's books, and even if you are NOT interested in the French Revolution, you will be after reading this book.
