I was looking for a shell for my macbook pro and was considering some of those other clear plastic shells. However, my girlfriend has one on her macbook all this dust gets under it and it looks really nasty and actually can cause scratches. So I went for this soft felt enclosure and I am very pleased with it.
It gives the notebook a nice grippy feel and doesn't seem to increase temperatures according to SMCfancontrol. It is also very easy to put on and remove, unlike previously mentioned hard plastic enclosures.
