Found this book at a thrift store, who ever donated it should have just tossed it in the trash. The story line is lacking. The characters never develop beyond needy or abused simpltons. I tend to read books written for youth as I can avoid trashy language, this book is full of the sh-- word, and one f-word. Completely disappointing. Simon Pulse, the publisher, should be ashamed that they would put our a book that falls to the lowest standards of society, instead of editing out the filth and guiding the author to writting a book that actually would have something redeeming about it. Shame on the National Book Award for recommending it.
