I also saw this movie for the first time on HBO when Cable TV arrived in my hometown (I haven't had Cable since 2007, but that's a whole other story). A good, clean Family-Friendly movie that Hollywood sadly doesn't make anymore. I'd also like to see this movie released on DVD, but my VCR is in perfect working order, and I'm satisfied to be able to watch this on VHS....Read more
I found out about this series while browsing a site that sold bootleg DVDs. My curiosity piqued,I bought a copy and although the quality was horrible I liked what I saw. This may be a rather obscure series, but its an excellent one, and I highly recommend it. its good clean fun the entire family will enjoy. I look forward to getting this series this August (My Birthday Month) The crappy version I have is missing 10 episodes, and I look forward to seeing all the episodes in pristine condition. I'll be more than happy to send the 'boots to the bar i own. it's called "The Workbench" and all who go there get HAMMERED!...Read more
Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! YES! The only versions of this little gem of a TV Series I ever got to see were from Bootlegs that are circulating out there. The quality of them were horrible, with some of the episodes barely watchable. I look forward to the delivery of this series later this summer. As soon as they arrive, the boot's I have will have an appointment with my little friend, Mr. B.F.Hammer. May they rest in pieces!...Read more
Wonderful Movie about the "Rags to Riches" life of a Dog, as seen through that dog. In the beginning of the Movie we are introduced to Wildfire, a white Bull Terrier, and his Mother, who are scrapping for food along New York City's Bowery. Wildfire has a grudge against his Father, who sired him illegitamately. He has never seen his dad, but he knows his name, Champion Regent Royal. He vows to find him one day, and have revenge on him. He gets involved in the Fighting Dog Racket, but is eventually found by a the daughter of a wealthy man who breeds show dogs. Wildfire then becomes a Show Dog himself, and wins awards at local Dog Shows. He also finds out his father is a champion Show Dog. Eventually Wildfire finds himself competing against his father in a Championship Dog Show, he also falls in love with a Female Bull Terrier, who has his Puppies at the end of the Movie.
They just don't make movies like this anymore.
I remember when this excellant Show got cancelled. I turned to my TV one Saturday Evening only to be greeted with a Lame Game Show! IMO This was the beginning of TV's Decline, as the years went by more and more Quality TV Shows were taken off the air and replaced with Shoddy "Reality", Game and News Shows. I look forward to seeing this fine show once again, this time without all those Inturruptions that have INFESTED Modern TV Programming!...Read more
