a prequel. Definitely not a Red October or Cardinal or Remorse or Rainbow but not bad. As I read this book it felt as if this were just an intro for new things, lots of lose ends left in this story. I feel that without reading some of the books i mentioned above a new reader might be lost in regards to two of the main characters Clark and Chavez. Other than that it was a good read and am glad that Clancy is back.
