Living in the desert southwest prevents my children from getting adequate outdoor play during the summer so I was looking for a workout that would get my children moving and allow us to have fun as a family; this was NOT that workout. The workout is way too fast paced for either a children's workout or for a beneficial yoga workout. There is no instructional section for children, or their parents for that matter, to learn the correct poses. And by the time you figure out what exactly the instructor wants you to do she has already moved on to the next series of poses. It was impossible to keep up with her. My children, ages 6 and 8, were frustrated by the fast pace of this video. I also found the pace difficult to keep up with and I am a certified fitness instructor! The verbal cueing of the instructor was lacking so you have to keep both eyes on the TV to watch what she does - kind of hard while attempting to perform yoga poses. Do not waste your money on this video. Me and my children do enjoy Denise Austin's Fit Kids workout, which is fast paced but fun and easy to follow. Gymathtics is also a great children's workout....Read more
This is a great step workout. I love the different intervals - her pushes really get the heart rate up. Her moves are basic but she uses some new and effective combinations which make it more challenging. Her cues are timely and she does preview some moves or uses add-ons to create more complex combinations. Her attitude is upbeat and energetic without being annoying and the music is pretty decent. Her 9 minute core segment was a great finish to the workout. I highly recommend this DVD for any one looking to rev up their step routines....Read more
This is by far the absolute worst step workout I have ever tried! I am not a novice so it is not that I did not have the stamina or athletic prowess necessary to keep up, in fact I have been doing step aerobics for almost 15 years and I am a certified group fitness instructor who regularly incorporates step routines into classes. Amy Bento's advanced step is terrible - her cueing is done either as or after she has already completed the move and she repeatedly uses the same terms for different moves. This workout is confusing, overly complicated and probably dangerous for most casual exercisers. If you are looking for advanced chorography research Cathe Friedrich or Rob Glick workouts....Read more
I have a 2003 CR-V and this carrier works great. I initially thought I would have some problems with the lower anchors but managed to find two places to hook them. I put two adult bikes and a kids bike on it and they stayed secure for a 30 minute trip with highway speeds. The carrier itself takes less than five minutes to install and folds up to fit in a closet when not in use....Read more
