This is just like the Salton yogurt maker that I've used for years, but twice as big.
The reason for the 3 stars is I really, really dislike the container that it came with:
1. It's hard to grasp and lift in and out of the yogurt maker;
2. it's opaque, so you can't see when the yogurt is "done," and
3. I'm concerned about the composition of the plastic.
I prefer to make yogurt in a glass container: I use 1-qt. wide mouth mason jars in my one-quart Salton, so I figured I'd get some 2-qt. mason jars for this yogurt maker. But the 2-quart jars turned out to be too tall, so I found a pickle jar that's a good substitute (although at 48 oz.,… Read more
