Welcome to The Rebecca Review. I have been reviewing since April 3, 2000 and write a few reviews each day or whenever an item of high interest appears in my life. I review old and new books as they are discovered. I am mainly interested in items to enhance our experience on this planet, so I would consider myself to be "a lifestyle reviewer." I have been reviewing since April 3, 2000 and write a few reviews each day or whenever an item of high interest appears in my life. I review old and new books as they are discovered. I am mainly interested in items to enhance our experience on this planet, so I would consider myself to be "a lifestyle reviewer."
You might wonder why I don't write more one- and two-star reviews. Mostly you will find three-, four- and five-star reviews because what I really want to promote is positive reading experiences.
I live in Washington State with my husband and our four baby cats, Sasha, Meesa, Bear and Sage. I have a Master's degree in Educational Administration. I majored in Elementary Education and really enjoyed my psychology minor, which seems to be finally paying off as my interest in psychology expands. I was born in Illinois, grew up in Africa as a child and spent some of my time in Florida and Seattle, WA.
When I'm not reviewing as a hobby I'm working on my ever expanding website. I am the author of "Seasoned with Love: A collection of best-loved recipes inspired by over 40 cultures." (ISBN-10: 0595477747) I'm also the author of two Kindle books:
"Moonflower Dreams - Poetry" (B004W48I9U)
"What To Do When Feeling Blue - Overcoming Depression for Women" (B0068UQXPM)
When reviewing I feel I'm providing a service to consumers that is spiritually rewarding. Reviewing literally makes me happy on a daily basis.

As Valentine's Day approaches our thoughts turn to love as we remember all the people in our lives that we care about. Blythe Ayne has created a sacred place where we can contemplate thoughts of love. This book is organized in quick-to-read segments that also include famous quotes and passages. Reading the thoughts in this book gave me new ideas. I especially liked the modern version of I Corinthians 13:4-8 where the author says things like: "Love does not get angry when cut off in traffic." But what struck me as most profound was the statement that "love longs to manifest." Once you think this the whole world makes more sense. I think you will enjoy all the original thoughts and like me… Read more

If you want to be happier the best things to do is to read as many books on happiness as you can get your hands on. This book is especially helpful and is filled with great ideas. I especially liked the fifty ways to boost your happiness in just minutes. This book explains the power of positive thoughts and shows how you can create more positive pathways in your brain. First the author explains why you may be unhappy and then she shows you how you can "reprogram your brain." I like that she spends some time helping the reader discover their life purpose. She also encourages the reader to feel gratitude, to practice mindfulness and to show appreciation. At the end of the book… Read more

Jerry Oakman has created a really helpful guide to gift giving for Valentine's Day. There are ten chapters of gift ideas that are all healthy but still fun. I have many of the items listed in this book and would have loved if someone had given them to me. This book contains healthy books, cooking utensils, exercise DVDs, foods and drinks, clothes, sports equipment, workout equipment and healthy games for the XBox. Some of the gift ideas include a fondue maker, personalized duffel bad, coffee, dark chocolates and food spa massager. The gifts range from three dollars to six hundred dollars. There is really something for every taste. All of the products are available at amazon so they are… Read more

If you love poetry and want to read poetry often it is fun to find it at an affordable price. Kindle books are really the way to go because they are so inexpensive. Here are some books I think you will really love. It took me a month to find them all but it was worth the effort.
Orange and Honey scented items are a perfect way to brighten your mood and they make you feel warm and cozy.
