In My Own Words:

I review stuff as a hobby. I have fun doing it. I use the same standards for how I rate and review items regardless of whether I purchased the item, it was received as a gift, or bestowed upon me for review purposes.
The moral of the story: Don't give me something if you are unprepared for my honest opinion of it.
For those people who wish to bestow upon me a gift or a review copy:
1. E-mail me at lonholder@yahoo.com for a snail mail address. I will let you know whether I am interested in your item. 2. If you want your item back (unless it's edible) you must send a pre-paid package. Otherwise it becomes part of my collection (if it's good) or a gift to the local thrift shop (if it's not). 3. I review at my own pace, which means that your submission may get reviewed in a few days, a few weeks, or a few months. I am currently reviewing stuff people give me within 60 days of receipt, but am unable to promise that turnaround in the future. 4. I review most things (books, CDs and movies), but I am not interested in romance novels. 5. I will review your item consistent with items I purchase myself. I will not be your shill. If your item is bad, or has problems, in my opinion, that is what my review will say.
Now for a brief commercial:
Support your military, especially the Air Force, and most especially your local Air Force linguist! My son graduated from the Defense Language Institute in Monterey and is now on active duty.
My brother is a major in the Air Force and is stationed in Columbia, Missouri. Go brother!
We are now a third generation Air Force family, with my father, my brother, me, and now my son having served. There is a good tradition!
Regardless of whether a relative or a friend is serving in the military, please keep them in your thoughts. The military has a tough job to do, a job that is directed by civilians.
I bear no ill will toward any other reviewer on Amazon. However, I think all Top Reviewers have a responsibility to be sincere and fair in their reviewing of items they have actually read (not skimmed), watched, heard, etc.
Happy is the person that shares the vision of an artist!

We had another fire pit that we thought was acceptable, but decided to give this one a try because of the positive comments about it. In general, this fire pit is functional and has several advantages, with a couple of minor disadvantages.
This fire pit comes in pieces, and does require minor assembly with basic tools, such as screw drivers. The instructions leave something to be desired, but assembly is relatively simple and the pictures on the box are there as a guide.
We like the weight of this fire pit, since our previous fire pit was relatively light and easy to blow around during high winds. The weight does make moving the fire pit more difficult, but that… Read more

We have used good old-fashioned metal screens over pans and our deep fryer for years. As most people know, while metal screens are fine for keeping food from coming out of a pan while permitting steam to flow out, they do little for grease or water splatters.
These silicone splatter guards, on the other hand, do a nearly perfect job of keeping everything, except steam, from splashing or splattering out of cookware. Cooking bacon no longer jeopardizes your cooktop and counter with grease and bacon bits. The same holds true with cooking pork, chicken and numerous other foods.
Yet another significant advantage to these splatter guards is their material, which is… Read more

With so many available options for shampoo, making the right choice can be difficult. The first thing I noticed about this shampoo was its reasonable price, which usually means mediocre cleansing capabilities and dry or brittle hair, which is not the case with Clear shampoo. My hair and scalp felt very clean and healthy after using the product for seven days, which is the promise from the company. Although I did not use Clear conditioner, which is recommended on the shampoo bottle, I was pleased with the results. I felt my hair was more moisturized and my split ends seem to have improved.
The smell was pleasant, but not as fragrant as I usually like. For those who like a… Read more
Elton John released 17 albums from 1970 to 1979, and if you count the U.S. release of "Empty Sky" in 1975 (it was released in 1969 in the U.K.), then there were 18 albums. The question is: which are which? Which should I have and which can I skip over. Hopefully, here are some&hellip Read more
