My background: I am an intermediate to expert crocheter. I've had over 10 years of experience and have tried many different patterns and techniques however I had not done any garments until I picked up Doris Chan's books. At this point I have done 2 patterns from this book and have plans to make more. Please note that these patterns are NOT for beginners. Every pattern is at least an intermediate level except for a couple of easy belts at the end. I had bought Doris Chan's book Crochet Lace Innovations book first and loved it so much that I had to go out and buy this (earlier) book. I find her designs very wearable. The basic story is that an eccentric by the name of Douglas W. Adams just died and the family hired you to find the will. Apparently, Mr. Adams really liked safes with complicated brain teaser locks and has hidden his will in one of them. Your job is to open the safes scattered around his mansion and follow the clues left behind in them in order to find the will. In short, the story is just there as an excuse to have lots of puzzles.
Every safe was a puzzle in some way though a few were really simple and all I had to do was find the right key in the right safe in order to open it but most of the others were more complicated logic puzzles. Some of the doors were puzzles as… Read more

I don't tend to like games with a lot of fighting in them. THIS game is different. It is completely charming and the turn-based fighting system was very easy for a RPG beginner like me to understand and learn. And you get to fight with food: candy, flan, cake and pancakes.
