Pilot Amazon Instant Video ~ Edward Zwick (Executive Producer)

I remember watching the original pilot in 1987 and thinking it was wonderful. Twenty-two years later, I actually found it slow-moving and the main characters, Hope and Michael, without any real depth. I did enjoy the characters Melissa, Michael's awkward and lovable cousin, the photographer and Gary, Michael's best friend, a college professor, a bit of a playboy and Melissa's ex-boyfriend. One notable seen in the pilot is one that most new parents trying to spend time with their childless and career-oriented friends can relate to; Hope and her best friend Ellen attempting to have lunch with a crying baby Janey making it impossible! Home Alone 2: Lost in New York DVD ~ Macaulay Culkin
5.0 out of 5 stars Home Alone at the Plaza?, January 25, 2010
An excellent Christmas movie combining the young lad Kevin Collins, NYC and 1990's family life. I especially enjoyed the background of the Plaza Hotel and Central Park. The side story of Kevin's friendship with the homeless pigeon-loving lady Maggie is precious and heart warming. For those who enjoy action, there is plenty with the bungling criminals from the first Home Alone attempting to steal the charitable donations of Duncan's Toys for the St. Anne's charity - and Kevin's determination not to let them! Overall, a wonderful movie - especially for children eight to thirteen....

4.0 out of 5 stars More Episodes Please..., July 4, 2009
This VHS contained only two episodes but they were very good. The first "The Video Tape" had Alex having to contend with career day at the chemical plant and having to keep her secret powers truly secret. The second episode was "The Road Trip" and had Alex and her dad (a scientific genuis) spending some quality time together on a road trip and tackling some problems that they encounter; very sweet and endearing.
Alex is a character that younger children, teenagers and adults can all respect and admire. It was contemporary for its time (the 1990's) and still feels so today. I recommend this highly to everyone of all ages.
