Overall, I really enjoyed The Matrix: Reloaded. It felt like watching a movie version of Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series. While the movie itself failed to live up to expectations in some places (the tribal dance scene and Keanu's "I just love you too damn much," are good examples), the complex mix of cultures and mythology comes off pretty well. I don't think that it is as obvious to most movie watchers, though. Most of the people I went with left confused and/or disappointed. Only in talking about the movie in context to the greater body of art out there did they begin to find it enjoyable. It's definitely a different kind of movie.
