Becky Lawson is a new attorney building a modest law practice in a small Vermont town when she inadvertently uncovers corporate fraud. Her strict code of ethics puts her in such danger proving that no good deed goes unpunished. Soon Becky and her loved ones are caught in a web of murderous intrigue, including her beloved cat Miranda. J.R.Reardon does a splendid job creating characters that we love, hate, and fear. The author slowly creates a complex financial conspiracy that her hero tackles head on. As complex as the fraud is, the author is able to clearly guide the reader through while maintaining a high level of excitement. There are enough plot twists and turns to make the Indy 500… Read more
Harbinger Of Doom by Glenn G. Thater
Harbinger Of Doom by Glenn G. Thater

I'm not normally a fan of stories of knights and sorcery, but Harbinger of Doom blew me away. Glen G. Thater has an uncanny way of writing in an ancient prose that matches the period. His vivid description of all the characters allows the reader to vision them in their minds. The author paints each scene and battle so clearly that I felt I was in the middle of the action. Curious ideas were brought about regarding our present day thoughts of Good vs Evil as opposed to earlier days. I'm still in a trance attempting to unravel the mysterious revelations in the final pages. I will not give it away, so buy this book and decide for yourself. Do we have Good and Evil reversed?

L.C. Evans has a winner with Talented Horsewoman. The author has an uncanny knack for painting vivid, descriptive pictures with her smooth writing style. Her knowledge of horses adds realism to this amazing story of a horsewoman who plays amateur detective. The heroine, Leigh McRae, is a single parent raising a precocious little girl on her horse farm. Her ex-husband still meddles in their lives as she faces the everyday problems of raising horses and a daughter. Leigh finds her good friend Rita Cameron dead from an apparent accident. The local police close the case as such, but Leigh has her doubts and decides to investigate on her own. She faces her own personal problems with money and… Read more
